Porridge

The campers friend, but Is it totally naff to stir in a spoonful of Jam?

Asking for a friend of course
Tell your friend that in these enlightened times, it's perfectly ok to stir in what ever you like. I often stir in Mrs B's home made Seville thick cut marmalade which isn't too sweet. Another favourite is apple sauce. I'd also say golden syrup but I find that far too sweet for my tastes. Oh and a drop of British fresh double cream of course.

There will be some that insist on adding nothing but salt, having cold showers and wearing no underpants but don't feel obliged. :thumb

Mrs 5i1ver8ack adds honey and strawberry yoghurt to her daily dose.

Love love love porridge, eat mine with Oat Milk or just raw handfuls of oats, never leave the house without it!!

You eat it raw?

Doesn't that glue your mouth together?

People would pay millions for something to do that to me :shocked

I won't, don't worry!!

Porridge I love either on it's own or with something sweet, my father who was a Scot put salt with his. You are welcome to try salt but personally I wouldn't try that again...........

My Sister eats it with just salt and peanut butter. Totally gross concoction!

Is she normal? Whatever normal means...... I love peanut butter but with porridge, maybe I'll have a try tomorrow without the salt though.

How could she be normal? She lives with me :shocked

When we were kids my mum used to make extra porridge at breakfast then mix the leftover with double cream in a food processor and have with fruit or jam as desert in the evening
