Cooking by the campervan on Friday at the Midlands Air Festival, UK. Homemade burgers on the Cobb. Just got them on then look who popped in for dinner, “Okay lads, there’s only 1 burger going spare. No need to fight over it, but the first one here can have it.”

Nice! We have a site booked for the Southport air show

Sunday morning up at Mam Tor in the Peak District, UK. Left the campsite at 3am to see the sun rise at 4.40. For those of you who know the area we stayed at the the C&MC site in Castleton, walked in to the village, up Millbridge and Hollowford, up the footpath to Hollins Cross and across the ridge to the Mam Tor trig point. Well worth it as the sunrise was stunning. Dodgy knees are suffering now though!

Just a quick tinkle before we leave:

Now this is a view I love to see from the van anytime, anywhere (jersey royal potatoes in foil under the grill plate):

On our list of go-to folk fests, but never been able to make it.

We stewarded (for the first time) this year at Upton on Severn, great smallish festival camping at the Rugby club and festival in the very friendly, small town.

Others we’ve booked for this year are Beardy (Shropshire), Ely, Gate to Southwell, Warwick, Folk East, Shrewsbury and Bromyard. Also Timber festival in the National Forest (a celebration of the forest, with discussion, spoken word, art & creativity, music and loads more).

We also did the Midlands air festival, jubilee weekend.

Just love chilling out at a good festival. The Cali (especially now we have solar) makes it so easy.

Beautiful!
On the same theme here’s a field near Brize Norton last week.

Wounderful pic Grumpy. Just need to return with some daisy seeds, and stealthily introduce some yellow for next year. I don't know if environmentalists would consider that" not on " though!
I love going to the woods near you in Wendover when the blue bells are in bloom, simply stunning.
