Spent a few days in the Strathdon area just inside the Cairngorms, beautiful weather, great rustic campsite.

Just left The Barge Inn at Honey Street this morning after 2 nights there. Fun campsite and the music in the bar last night was very good.

Vehicles facing both ways on the ferry. Not sure i’ve seen that before.

Yea, we were one of the last on with the coach and the lorry and had to reverse down the ramp. The vehicles facing the other way sort of do a lap of the ferry to get off, sort of like an onboard roundabout.

On the same theme here’s a field near Brize Norton last week.

Sunday morning up at Mam Tor in the Peak District, UK. Left the campsite at 3am to see the sun rise at 4.40. For those of you who know the area we stayed at the the C&MC site in Castleton, walked in to the village, up Millbridge and Hollowford, up the footpath to Hollins Cross and across the ridge to the Mam Tor trig point. Well worth it as the sunrise was stunning. Dodgy knees are suffering now though!

C&MC site at Castleton, Peak District, UK. Cooking dinner on the Cobb in the lovely sunshine. Not a fan of club sites really, but this one is fabulous.

On our list of go-to folk fests, but never been able to make it.

We stewarded (for the first time) this year at Upton on Severn, great smallish festival camping at the Rugby club and festival in the very friendly, small town.

Others we’ve booked for this year are Beardy (Shropshire), Ely, Gate to Southwell, Warwick, Folk East, Shrewsbury and Bromyard. Also Timber festival in the National Forest (a celebration of the forest, with discussion, spoken word, art & creativity, music and loads more).

We also did the Midlands air festival, jubilee weekend.

Just love chilling out at a good festival. The Cali (especially now we have solar) makes it so easy.

Wounderful pic Grumpy. Just need to return with some daisy seeds, and stealthily introduce some yellow for next year. I don't know if environmentalists would consider that" not on " though!
I love going to the woods near you in Wendover when the blue bells are in bloom, simply stunning.
