I was wondering if anyone out there had problems with rust spots in their sink. We've had our Cali from new and its just coming to the end of its 3 year warranty. We've tried to remove them, but nothing seems to work. VW are saying that it's from cooking, but firstly we don't cook very often, preferring to us a gas bbq and secondly the spots are only in the sink which is usually covered with the small plastic draining bowl, plus there are no spots anywhere around the gas burners. We keep our Cali really clean and tidy and tend to wipe the hobs and sink whenever its used. Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks Amanda

Hi Amanda

We had the same thing on our two half year old van. Got the VW garage to take pictures and submit them into VW. VW agreed and we had the sink replaced under warranty.

The marks themselves were very small however there was a worry that it would only get worse over time and post warranty cover.

Worth a try. Good luck.

Probably low grade contaminated Chinese so called stainless steel. There processes are not the best and iron particles can get rolled in.
Push for a replacement.
