hi,

i would like to know you opinions .... (or what can possibly go wrong)
i just replace AGM battery with VanVolt 185aH LiPOFE4 (charging currents are rated for up to 200A , thats perfect because GC alternator can push high current as high as 200A). After switching the battery coding was performerd by specialist (coded leisure battery as Lipo + 185A capacity). Battery is not charging while normal drive, it is charging only when i push 'the battery button' on dashboard (charing currents are around 120A). So far so good, i am able to use GC for 4 days off grid. However , last weekend i noticed that the battery is charging also during normal driving (around 80A). Does anybody knows why the charging relay works this unpredictable way ? Do you think it is OK to use it like this ? Battery have BMS system which block overvoltage.
Thank you for your opinion

I’ve done some research on this and the signs are good, the people on the forum (link below) have done this over the last couple of years with good results.

My plan is to do the same and give it a go, the internal battery monitor will not work as per the AGM levels as the lithium voltage remains higher for longer.

Take a look at the stories on the site above.
It’s a great point that does deserve some more testing.
