My 2017 Ocean has standard headlights (not LED’s) but hashigh beam assist as a factory option.
First time I’ve had this on a vehicle and to be honest I think it’s absolutely rubbish!
Flicks to main beam with oncoming vehicles uncomfortably close, if it does decide to dip it then flicks back as soon as the vehicle has passed straight into oncoming traffic.
Then when I’m in virtually complete darkness it fails to switch to main beam.
I tend to disable it now to save the hassle.
To me it’s been a waste of money.
Has anyone else felt this way or is it only me?
Is it something I should be letting VW look into?

I don't think you're alone thinking it´s a waste of
money.
Another one or 2 for me ( although not on my Cali )
is lane assist, the distance braking and a heated
steering wheel. It´s like holding onto the towel
rail in your bathroom.
The only thing i would want a heated steering wheel on
is a tractor or a soft top Land Rover in fckn Norway.

My most favourite modern day gizmo is the speed
camera warning piping up on the nav. :Stig:Stig:Stig
