Headlight main beam when using indicator

Hello
Recently my 2013 T5 seems to have developed a fault in that the headlights seem to be often switching to main beam unintentionally. It often seems to happen when I indicate left or right. The Cali has been so reliable that it seems as if I might have activated some automatic process. Anyone else experienced anything like this?

Could be you are noticing the foglight that goes on the side you are turning to...
Normal thing , called turn assist / corner assist or something like that

As HC says, you may be noticing the fog lights coming on and off. When you turn right, the vehicle switches on the right side lights to give more visibility towards the turning direction.

I think there is a setting to turn on fog lights when turning.

... But if it is something new that you are sure was not there before, and indeed it is the high beam, then there may be a fault with the switch.

could be the indicator stalk as that also has the high beam switching, has it become loose or wobbly?
