The next big fight will relate to water. It should have been taken seriously years ago. Without usable water we're truly stuffed. From too much &/or too litle to pollution and terrorism, governments and organisations across the globe are really starting to panic. We've taken it for granted for far too long.
There is no simple Norwegian solution one EV size fits all, for them and their energy mix it’s a good strategy but in Sweden we don’t have that level hydro.
For me this is surely about conservation, limit the use of your vehicle to what it’s optimized for, Calis love long range journeys, for anything local use your bike / ebike.
It’s the constant buying of new cars and owning multiple new vehicles EV or ICE that’s the hypocrisy.

So, Norway is banning sales of all ICE vehicles by 2025. Very progressive BUT will they still be selling their oil?! If not, they’ll have do something extraordinary to replace their oil revenues!!

Norway has over a Trillion dollars in the bank. I don’t think they need to rely on their oil and gas reserves anymore.

96% of their own energy is Hydroelectric. They can sell some of that Energy instead if they need a few quid.

Would cause unemployment in Norway. Gas / Oil and support services employ many people. Drill pipe comes from Japan etc (or used to when our ships carried them) so has a knock on effect to many other countries....it’s all about $$$$.

That 1 trillion it is also the reason why they can afford to subsidise the purchase of their Teslas. And we know how they got that 1tr, it's in the very wiki article you posted.
They could ban ic vehicle from today, Norway it's a tiny market, and 86% of that tiny market is already ev.
If we want to apply the same subsidies to a big market like uk or germany, it will be impossible. Too many vehicles , too much revenue lost from tax from fuel, tax on vehicles, and if everyone owns an electric car, will we really be allowed all of us to drive on bus lanes??
Until now EV work only as a niche, for a few users. Infrastructure still very far away to accomodate 30m vehicle per country. The cost of electricity will skyrocket, not only for the demand, but the government will need to tax it to replace revenue lost in selling petrol.
So more expensive cars, even more expensive fuel.
It's nice to fantasise about electric vehicle, all cool Elon's mates, but we are not even close to a plan to make 30m vehicles per country feasible.

Norway are not responsible for how countries mange their environmental policies. They are diversifying their economy to be less reliant on oil and gas revenues. If Norway didn't sell it another country would fill the gap, so the impact on the environment would be the same.
Other Countries are planning to ban IC engines too, so it must be possible, they are simply behind Norway in doing this, this doesn’t make Norway responsible, just because they have the reserves.

How guilty is an Afghan poppy farmer for the misery of a US addict?
I’m not sure I can answer that question, but I am pretty sure that the Afghan farmer grows poppies to lift himself out of poverty, and the US addict risks their use reducing themselves to poverty.
How that helps resolve the guilt or otherwise of oil producer/consumer is for debate.

If Norway can pull it off then good luck to them but the UK electrcity distribution network is years away from being able to support mainstream electric vehicle use.
At the moment its a niche club of early adopters. It will increase but only to the point where the infrastructure prevents growth.

The UK deadline for the switch is 2035. I imagine large cities will adopt the much change earlier.
