Hi looking purchasing a 30k miles Ocean 2021 plate in the next few weeks and need to know what to check regarding services that should have been done. Anything important to check regarding extra service intervals due to high mileage?

Hi looking purchasing a 30k miles Ocean 2021 plate in the next few weeks and need to know what to check regarding services that should have been done. Anything important to check regarding extra service intervals due to high mileage?

The California is based on a commercial vehicle. At 30,000 miles it should have had a minor service which is basically oil and filter at around 20,000 miles. This may vary in milage as there is an oil quality sensor and short trips will degrade the oil faster than long trips. The major service would be at 40,000 miles or 2 yrs and besides an oil and filter change includes air, fuel and pollen filter for aircon. Haldex, for 4motion vehicles and DSG oil changes are at 40,000 miles or 2 yrly intervals. Cambelt used to be at 80,000 miles or 4 yrs but VWUK have apparently changed this to milage , 120,000 or 10yrs in line with their European requirements.
If you check the Dashboard Multifunction Display it will tell you when the next oil, Minor, and next Major service are due.
