So anyone here old enough to recall their skateboard days. I’m talking 70’s here not the daft small wheel rattly things the kids use today.

Proper old skool, Kryptonics, OJ’s, Gull wings. Dog town stuff.

Here is mine. I still ride. Love it. The 65mm red Kryps are a bit hard these days but grippy enough. Used to run 70mm greens as well.

Amazon (+ Netlix) have a few old Skating movies - Dog Town and Z Boys Boys, Lords of Dogtown, Bones Brigade etc. Bones Brigade Autobiography is excellent.

Jeez, just looking on ebay, similar spec boards to mine, around £500!

Yeah, mine comes in around that. 85? Hosoi Hammerhead, Indies and Slammers. Truth told it's not been used because it was old-hat when I got it so just sat around the house, near mint. Not selling it though, I don't need 500 quid that much. Also got a set of 70mm Kryptonic Red 78a - again not used because they were old tech.

They used to rip off the core if you were into your powerslides though!
Great for taking shortcuts over grass or dirt though, when my mates were hanging up on pea sized gravel with their tiny 100a wheels
