Just wanted to welcome Richard ( @rich-s) who owns East Fleet Farm Touring Park in Weymouth.

Richard is a Cali owner himself and has been a member with us for a year and a half now.

Anyway, have a look at his website: http://www.eastfleet.co.uk/

Thanks for the welcome. Always nice to see Cali's arrive to stay with us at the farm. I 'm sure that's where our desire to own one ourselves came from.

A stunning, proper camp site... Lovely location. I absolutely love this part of the coast, very fond memories of lots of scuba diving trips with more scallops than y ou could possibly eat in one sitting.

Fantastic.

Will definitely be there later in the year when Alexandra wants to camp in a tent!!! (next to the Cali where my wife will be sleeping no doubt!!!! :) )

Stayed here summer 2013 when we hired our first T5 campervan. Lovely site, beautiful spot with great showers, shop and onsite bar/food. We hope to be back soon in our Cali as there is so much to see and do in Dorset, love it. IMG_4935.jpg

We stayed here on Sat night and what a lovely spot it is. We liked it a lot. Very, very peaceful, with all the amenities you could need and more. A lot of money appears to have been spent on the facilities.

You would know the place was there from even a few hundred yards away..

Its a short walk to the edge of Chesil Beach

But beware of the monsters of the deep...

Looks great, we will remember and pay a visit when we are next down that way. :thumb

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. :thumb
That is quite a jellyfish!! Was it on our shoreline? Unfortunately the jetty in the photo was a victim of the storms of early 2014. We thought that local fishermen were going to rebuild it, but it seems not.:( It's a shame as it used to be a great crabbing spot for youngsters.

Booked in next week. :bananadance

You will certainly be seeing me as I walk the SW Coast Path.

I will need sustenance of the liquid kind before the Kimmeridge to Swanage bit ...:shocked

How's your ankle? Fully recovered?

How's your ankle? Fully recovered?

It was my Calf, a bad tear, but back to running 5k a day and now planning to walk the 630 mile South west coast path so everything getting strong again.

Thank you for asking ...

The main concern now is my arm ... bashed it tripping over a step, two days later was sent to hospital to have it X rayed but all the swelling is just bad bruising. They did ask about my grazed and swollen knuckles but was ok when I explained that was falling off my bicycle, not hitting people :shocked

GJ - May I ask how you are going to tackle the SWCP, being that it is linear. We also have this on our list, but wonder how best to do it. Have you got a plan of places to stay? Are you doing it in one go? Are you getting any help with transport?

I tried backpacking the thing all in one go in 1993. I was then suffering from a disabling neurological condition, 100 miles from the end (anti clockwise) I fell apart with pain. Since then it has driven me nuts itching to go at it again,

I do not have the time to do it all in one go so taking it in stages.

First stage, minehead to Lynmouth, is easy. Park at Porlock. Bus to Minehead, walk to Porlock. Then second day walk to Lynton, use a recommended minibus carrier back,....

Repeat 30 times .....

I am a life member of the SWCP Association. I have all the lists of taxi's, minibuses, ferries, tide times etc plus a lot of friends en-route. Finding camping stops is easy. places are dotted all around the coast.

Take care! Sounds like you are a little accident prone...

Hope you make it along the SWCP unscathed lots of places to sprain ankles while looking at the view and not the path :Nailbiting

Looks like a great site, definitely one to bring our grandson to. Will try and make a visit this summer.

This is now on our list of campsites for the summer, especially knowing the owner is one of us

we were going to go down today for over the weekend but fully booked and couldn't get in.

Hi @DMB9R,
Sorry about that. When did you call? Have you found something else?

I would like to say a big Thank You to Rich for getting us onto the site on such short notice. All we can say is fantastic site. Everything you need all in one place. Bonus of a sea view.

Glad we managed to sort you out a pitch. :thumb

This isn't a ruse to get everyone to look at our website, however I have been glued to my computer for the last week or 2 building a new one for the campsite. If anyone fancies having a look, opinions, both positive and negative would be welcome.
