Montenegro & Albania (via Croatia)

Hi Folks - I've read of few of the threads on this but they are all a bit out of date and wondered if any of you had more up to date information about driving your VW Cali through these countries? We are driving from a wedding in Croatia in June to another wedding a few weeks later in Albania (July) so we thought it would be an adventure to drive our cali down to Albania and then back up the east coast of Italy. However my current insurance company 'Victor Millwell' via broker AiB will not cover us for Montenegro or Albania and tell us to 'buy insurance at the border'. However it sounds from previous posts that this is only going to be third party so not suitable for us. Does anyone have any up to date info on getting fully comp insurance for Montenegro & Albania?
Suprisingly Green Flag breakdown say we are covered for all these countries .

When you read through your Insurance cover for other Countries you will probably find that they only provide minimum Legal cover applying to that Country. It does vary with provider but you may only have 3rd Party for some of your Countries transited.

Update on my own thread - I was surprised that Green Flag assured me that would provide breakdown cover for Montenegro & Albania so I checked again with the European telephone number - he didn't know but came back and hour later saying they don't actually cover those countries and the information I was given was incorrect!

I am currently waiting for a quote from 'Sterling' - the advisor has had to refer to 'a specialist' to get the quote - so watch this space!

I often wonder about the special British way. My insurance covers in all countries that are part of the Green Card scheme for motor insurance. Here is a map of the area in question.
