Milan, Lake Como camping

Hi All

We are taking the T5 to Italy for a wedding in July/August.

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of campsites in the region which I find hard to believe.

Anybody with experience of camping near Como please? Thanks

Does it need to be Como? We were there in September, small town called Dongo!! It was ok but Garda is much nicer.

The site we stayed on in Dongo was camping magic lake.

Small but tidy and right on the lake. Good atmosphere etc.

One up for Dongo / Camping Magic Lake. We spend a few nights there in July 2016. Small, clean and nice.

www.camping-internazionale.it is the only one I could find in the area.

George Clooney and all the stars that live in the area probably deemed it too posh for camping!

There are more camp sites on the eastern leg of Lake Como, just north of Lecco, or much further north in Dongo or Domaso.

Camping LaVedo 22016 Lenno Small congested site, basic facilities, good restaurant. Short walk to lakeside village, ferry terminal and Villa Tremezzo.
