Locking the car with the key fob deadlocks the doors.
Locking the car with the key fob after pressing the B pillar button deadlocks the doors with the alarm deactivated. NEVER do this with someone inside - they will not be able to open the doors from the inside in an emergency.
Lock the doors using the lock/unlock button on the dashboard driver's side. This will lock the doors without the deadlock. The doors can be opened from the inside only with two pulls on the handle.
Locking yourself out of your T6 California is not easy, but a sufficiently skilled incompetent can do it by following these simple steps.
1. Make sure that your vehicle is locked with yourself and your keys on the outside.
2. Remember that you need something from the boot.
3. Open the boot with the middle fob button.
4. Retrieve item from boot, carefully placing keys in the boot so you can use two hands to retrieve item.
5. Close boot.
Hey presto! You are now locked out of your T6 California with the keys on the inside.
