Kenwood DNR-992RVS REVIEWS

Good morning everyone . Has anyone fitted the Kenwood DNRV-992RVS with Garmin navigation pre installed ? If so is it any good ? The alternative is Kenwood DMX9720XDS without Garmin . They are very new . Not sure about the reliability / cost of Garmin updates . Many thanks .

I’ve just got the DMX9720XDS and have read that many people who are happy with it. I’m happy with it.

It’s the same unit as you say.

I believe there’s 3 years of free Garmin updates.

Personally I’m happy with the options of Waze, Google Maps / Apple Maps

Had DNRV-992RVS since April now . Vast improvement over VW . Sound much improved as well .

In previous post it is mentioned about the 3 years of maps.
Our kenwood is needing updates but we don’t know how to do it.
Asked absolute5 but they kindly replied and said it’s not a service they provide.
Any help appreciated. Thanks
