EU New Cali registration year? 2022 vs 2023

So I have the option to register the my new MY23 Cali Coast in 2022 or 2023. The downside to have the papers state 2023 is that I can't collect on Jan 2nd (my original plan) as some additional time would be needed to sort out the paperwork. In the EU what are the benefits to a 2022 vs 2023 first registration year, given I will have to register it again in Germany in January in any case? Curious what you recommend.

In the world of standard cars the value drops per registration year. I was told amongst campervans the MY is more important; we have a sept '21 Cali, which actually is MY '22. Our dealer still calculates its value as a '22 registration.
However, when I check prices I do notice the date of 1st registration, so ours is over 1 year old, which means a depreciation of 10-20%
