Erberspacher Airtronic diesel heater issue

Today my erberspacher airtronic turned on by itself. Luckily, I was near the van when I discovered this. Never done it before and have no idea as to why it would do so as it was powered off on last use a couple of months ago.
Fumes externally and faint smell of fumes internally which soon dissipated. Control panel was lit up displaying temp at 15 degrees.
Doesn't have remote control it is just a panel.
Any advice please as I'm concerned and have no idea about these systems.

I have not seen that panel as a factory fit before on a T6.1 Coast
Where about is that fitted in the vehicle?
What do you have on the panel over the rear view mirror?

I don't have a cali, I have a vw Transporter conversion hence this panel... I was hoping someone may have had experience with this type of erberspacher control in any previous vans they'd owned...
