Car to car battery charger

Do the assembled multitude think that you could use one of these car to car battery chargers to charge the under bonnet starter battery from the leisure batteries in an emergency.

Personal view... it's not up to much.

It's input current limited to 4A (Output somewhere below that), so it's unlikely to do any damage... but equally to charge an 80Ah to any useful level will take hours.

They may help batteries that are "marginal" and not able to turn the engine but still retaining quite a bit of charge... but that in itself limits it's usefulness to very specific situations.

Meant to be used with another car that has the engine running.... (And hence probably more than a straight 12.6V from a battery. Lighter socket isn't usually regulated)
