Awning channel connector problems

I decided to go for the no roll out awning option for my new 2014 Beach and opt for the channel kador connector instead. I had a T4 previously with a roll out awning and didn't find it that practical. I have the Khyam motordome classic which is a great quick erect system but the top of the sliding door rubs on the awning because the VW channel Kador strip is basically not high enough. Another minor design fault by VW. I'm sure I've seen an extension you can buy to stop this but cannot relocate the URL. Can anyone help here please?

I can't help with the extension but I can say that even with the VW wind out awning it can still foul the doors.

we have the same driveaway and had the same problem.... over come it by a few amendments though..... see post "awning addition"

I have a vango air beam and connect it to the rollout awning. I have the roll out awning out a couple of inches and have no problem opening the the sliding door.
