Hi
We are looking for a California but our budget is only £27-28K. I have found a 4motion on Autotrader for £28.5 with quite low mileage. its seems a good buy but I am 350 miles away from the seller. is this too good to be true?

Re: Fair price for a 4 motion

Why not post up the details and maybe someone here will view it for you.

Must be one of the first ever Cali's, seems quite good value , it even has navigation. I think the price is about right compared to the ones we have had for sale on here. Maybe compare it with this one

I think that is the VW Nav as well, which for the time was a good system. I have never seen a pre facelift UK Cali with that, it also has heated seats and the climtronic of the era, so the original buyer didn't skimp on extras.

That's the old Skool Navigation (MFD) that was fitted to VW/Skoda etc of that era.

You can still get maps for it (DX type).

A few casual observations ...
NEGS
I don't see a cassette for the awning on the sliding door side.
I'm always nervous when I see a tow bar fitted to any car I might buy.
Colour :)
No mention of state of roof fabrics or photos of it raised.

POS
This is a particularly low mileage for a 2006 - my own 57 plate 4Motion has done about 55K miles and that's not excessive.
Interior looks in good condition as far as a photie can show.
5-pot manual is a good (if a little chunky in bottom 2 gears) combination.

Re: Fair price for a 4 motion

I'd be 99.9% sure thats an OEM Wesfalia tow bar Barry. The awning rail is there, I can see it quite clearly.

Good point with the roof and should be visually checked.
