Sliding Door

I am having problems with my electric sliding door, as I assume may people are. It either won't open or won't close. I gently 'help' it when closing, but not with lack of opening.

Is there anyway I can set it to manual?

There is a button on the dash for manual setting. Mine is next to the opening one on dash.

Thank you. I have just discovered it. I thought it was for locking the door. The door is pretty heavy to open though.

It's a horrible thing. I had a topic on this last year and we had to switch it to manual just before a five week trip! One option *never* to tick. Upon our return I finally had the chance to convert it to manual. After five weeks of hauling the thing back and forth numerous times each day it was a revelation. So smooth, easy and carefree.

I'd be very interested in a "how to". My door is currently ok but I reckon it's only a matter of time until I will want to convert o manual.

How did you get it totatally manual? And was it expensive or did you do it yourself?

Had a new motor last year. Apart from that been ok .

I LOVE the electric door on my 2009 Cali! Apart from the rattles which I hope to get sorted when it goes to the workshop next.
