A few days ago I noticed that the inside of the sliding door seemed to have some powder on it. It seems that door is catching as it closes and scraping. Anyone else had this issue?

Think I may have found the cause. The door has been making a slight scraping sound as it closes. I’ve checked the slider at the top of the door and it looks like the bolts holding it in place have worked itself loose causing some movement in the track. This is then causing it to scrape slightly just before the door closes. Hoping that tightening these up will sort the issue.

My top hinge has also worn like yours, and the keeper is the same.

Do you know the part number for a new one?

Wow,
I would keep it and not bother telling them.

A good independent garage would be looking after their tools - I hope-
and wouldn't be as careless.
I had trim tool left in the roof, which I kept, doesn't matter to the Vw service
its calculated in with the bill.
Had mine sorted today by Liverpool van centre. Turns out they even threw in a free spanner.

My son is a motor technician. Worked for Volvo and now with MB. He has to supply his own tools and tool chests - and quality doesn’t come cheap. Company only supplies the very specialist equipment, so not sure it’s calculated into a bill? Even though the bills are extremely high sometimes.

Last Saturday I drove 75 miles with our tandem on the roof. When I came to get the tandem off I discovered I’d driven with a loose bungee on the roof too!
