If anyone has an old seal strip it may be worth sending a section to these guys and ask for a quote to make a batch - specifically asking for a design without a metal insert, or at least explain the problem.

The front section is a bit complex as its a double seal but I'm sure they'll be more than capable

Seal removed. Cleaned up paintwork. Small amount of silicone lubricant in the rubber seal slot and liqu Moly on the outside.

No signs of any rust... That's a first, not finding one of the common problems on this van!!!!!!
