Temperature Gauge

My temperature gauge has decided it wants a break. All of a sudden the Cali takes a while to warm up, the temp gauge is really slow is getting upto to temp about 90. Before it used to go up no problem, now its really slow and then if you stop at a set of lights/ junction it actually starts to drop but when its upto 90 is stops there.

Any thoughts/ suggestions or is that just normal. When the light breaks I will check the coolant/ oil to see if all okay but they were fine at the weekend when I cleaned the van

Shouldn't do that to be honest. How long has it been doing this for?

Yesterday and today, just started and thought that not normal. Wondering if its just a faulty sensor.

Could be. Can be plugged in to funciton test the gauge to rule out a faulty dash unit. Check that all the levels etc...are where they should be and take it to a dealer for inspection.

Please let me know how you get on and what the outcome is.

Problem solved, faulty thermostat valve and sensor, runs fine now
