Synchronising the Remote Control Key after battery change?

Hi all

My remote control/key stopped working so I changed the battery. Now it won't lock/unlock the vehicle at all although the red LED lights up on pressing either button.

Anyone know how to re-sync the remote control?

I've looked in the manual - very simplistic - "use the key to unlock the vehicle mechanically using the driver door lock, then press either button" but this has not worked.

I've followed Utube demo's i.e. one key in the ignition with ignition but not engine on, non-working key in the drivers door - press unlock button - manually lock & unlock vehicle - take out key & remove other key from ignition. Still doesn't work.

The second key fob works perfectly so it's not the vehicle.

Any ideas please?

Thanks in advance.............Mike

To be honest Mike, this with the addition of then starting the engine with it of has always worked on my 2009 model.

Sorry can't be of more help.

May need to go to dealers and get it recoded... and expensive option no doubt.
