Can anyone recommend a campsite close to Santander, we arrive at 830 pm and could do with somewhere close thanks :help

Also interested in replies to this! Is Potes a bit far- guess it depends on your plans after Santander.

We are heading along north coast, we did this last year but drive down through France. Heading towards a fantastic site at Muros. We came back 'inland' and enjoyed Potes, yes I think it's a little too far from port and roads are narrow and winding but beautiful area. :thanks

Must look up Muros.. We are still pretty undecided about directions from Santander (late September).

We have the ACSI card it gives you up to 50 % off sites out of season. You get guides and maps, we just go to one and look on map to see where we fancy next, never booked any, just a little concerned about arriving in the evening and finding somewhere

spent 8 nights on camping cabo mayor ok 3 miles from ferry turn right hug seafront to lighthouse, good discounts if staying longer than 3 nights

Had a fantastic holiday in Northern Spain this year, but I would avoid Laredo unless you have a liking for camping in the middle if Europe's biggest apartment block setup (seemed like that anyway).

La Paz (an hour West) near Llanes is our favourite.

strayed 1night early sept,.at la paz excellent sea views, nice facilities, bit pricey, perhaps cheaper booking more than 1 night

Definitely an expensive site (over €40 a night for two nights!) but it is pretty good.

This was our view last year (we were a bit further back this year)

We stayed at Pavillion Royale nr Biarritz the day it went off peak to "only" €49… the night before it would have been €73!! :shocked
