Not a bad idea for deterring rodents.

Unless all of that is hermetically sealed, it ain't gonna stop rodents. Foxes maybe, but rodents???.....no.
I worked in food factories for a long time and the pest control experts said if you can put an HB pencil into a hole, a mouse can get in. That's about the size of the skull. The rest of the mouse skeleton collapses in when following the skull. Devious little sods.
