Two rattles sorted. Number one the canopy. Felt pads where the knuckle arm touches the two sliding brackets at the back. Right amount of pads indicated by chalk on knuckle. Then cable ties around box at both ends. Bliss.
Second rattle along the dash. Thanks to utube and a demo on dismantling glove box I found large nut shell rolling around. I think a board Vw worker popped it in for a laugh. If I could find him I would put it where utube wouldn’t go.
