image.jpg image.jpg Took "Oliver" on his maiden voyage last weekend, stayed over for just one night just to make sure everything worked ok. The site was near a delightful pub called the fish pool inn, some of you may know it if you live in the north of England. We slept upstairs using a duvet and it was very warm and cosy didn't need the heater on during the night ( about 5 degrees outside ) . Looking forward to some longer voyages in the near future.

Excellent, welcome on board and a great start to the season.

Love Fishpool..

We had a Cali group meet there a couple of years ago at Easter, good site, extremely friendly and accomodating staff, some stunning scenery in the area, along with a fantastic Icecream factory if memory serves me right. Rope swing up in the trees in the picture (Blackbank Woods) which needless to say, a number of us made fools of ourselves on :)

The Fishpool Inn itself, great food and managed to do a table for over 20 fairly easily!

Nice one :thumb

Looks like you where all allone on that site , ...nice!

Thanks for your comments, and yes the food in the Fishpool inn was excellent the wine was even better. The site was empty but for a few Motorhomes at the far end, just as well as it took a few attempts to isolate the interior alarm sensor

Glad you've cracked open the champagne :thumb

Fishpool is only about 30 minutes from where we live but we camped there with a group a few years back. It was June and we all sat outside, believe it or not the temperature dropped to 2 deg C, we were glad to get back in the Cali but felt sorry for the others who were in tents:D

Hi motacyclist, yes we have camped with our children for any years and yes it can get a bit chilly at night even in summer. The three children have grown up now and still living at home but are self sufficient
