Finally the leisure batteries after 16 years use have finally given up. They only keep the refrigerator working for 24 hrs.
Three questions for someone to answer
1 is LA 80 the correct agm battery?
2 correct sequence of disconnecting and reconnecting ?
3 if I buy now can I store them in my garage over winter (they are a good price at the moment £157.50 each) as not planning any trips.

Can’t answer the questions, but 16 years is amazing. Tip of the hat.

Shouldn’t be a problem. Keep them charged up regularly (and keep them off a cold floor). I just changed mine - got the Enduroline equivalents from Tayna Batteries as LA80’s out of stock.

I bought a new leisure battery and then didn't fit it for over a year. It sat in its box, in the garage(integrated garage so doesn't get cold), fitted it recently and gave it a good charge. No problems so far.
