Just about to collect my California Beach

Hello folks,
well excited now as I'm picking up my new Beach tomorrow. I've just sold my Defender 110 kitted out with roof tent and all the other toys. However as I get a tad older I've always wished for the 'room living space' aspect of the California. A bolt hole from the wind and chill in the evenings on my camping jollies. The Defender was ace but was killing me in fuel. This new motor is the start of a new direction for me, well stoked. The trip to Le Mans 24 hrs next year is my first biggish tour. In the mean time plenty of trips planned for my favourite locations Snowdonia and Peak District. Tomorrow catching a train from Bedfordshire to Cardiff and bring this back home. Can't wait now

hi alan, I started out years back with a V8 stage 1 and then a 300tdi 110 and roof tent, had lots of fun in that. a few years back I purchased a new 2.2 puma engine defender 110 and I hated it. the landy broke down 15 mins after collecting it, and spend more time at landrovers then with me. But I never lost a penny on them. I still look at them with longing, a sort of thrown back to my army days. hope you like your new toy. F

when the salesman did the video i'm sure he said Clayton wheels, which I'm sure was the default for standard spec. But went out tonight to see what make rubber I had. Bridgestones on 17". Are these then Cascavel instead of Clayton?
