I am looking to create a logon and connect the app to my Ocean (so it can do updates etc), and was looking for an idiots guide, anyone seen one or have a link to one?

Whichever one i need to get the updates etc working and no I haven't set up a we connect thing yet, I am still within the 3 years and so keen to get it working whilst i still can without paying. I asked dealers at the last service to check for updates and they said had to be done vis the app (which I don't believe). Any guidance/links etc. and whether i have to do it in the van or on the laptop etc, I figured someone would likely have created an idiots guide, but I couldn't find anything with the search or in the resources.

Our MY24 Ocean was 9months old when I first registered the WeConnect, so hopefully the 90days isn't a thing for you.
Really, it wasn't a big thing. I just kept following the prompts in the app. I imagine trying to create a guide would just make it more complicated!
As has been said in other places, you have to make sure you put the privacy settings on the lowest for it to be able to do the updates.

OK I got it to work, after a few teething troubles and a call to customer services, it seems to say that there are no updates, but when i go to shop on the infotainment system, it says its an old version of the shop and needs to update....any ideas?

If you 'pull down' from any of the screens, much like you might do on a smart phone, it opens the notifications panel. You should find it in there

Am I missing something, it all now appears to be working! I can see in the app, my range, driving data, can flash the lights and beep the horn, lock and unlock and see where it is on a map, an obviously get updates etc. but after 3 years I need to pay £125/year for this stunning list of extras?

They are apparently moving to a monthly stop/start subscription system.
