Is there any magic stuff that will clean the burners on the cooker? I have used Bar Keepers Friend before but as it's a powder, I worry that it might clog up the burners.

Does this turn the black burned look back the original chrome look?

It did for us. It got rid of the almost pitted look of the hobs, which just turned out to be stubborn dirt. It was actually a Citygate at Wooburn Green who applied it to our burners. We subsequently bought some but haven't had cause to use it. Anyway, for a small outlay it's worth a try. It certainly seems to be non-abrasive - it's recommended for ceramic hobs - and it has caused us no blocking problems
