How disappointing but with a happy ending.

We were booked on Brittany ferries, Portsmouth to St-Malo last night.
Just dropped off cats and returning home for a final check within 30 mins of leaving, BANG and no drive.
200 yes from home but going nowhere.
Rang Heritage VW in Bristol and Terry, their service manager was brilliant.
We discussed what happened, he ordered an off side drive shaft and made arrangements for a repair early today.
It's still in process and I've just had a call saying it is repaired.
Thank you Heritage.
Brittany ferries were so helpful too.
It's so nice to report a happy ending.
So, with a bit of luck we'll sail this evening.

We had a week on Noirmoutier and Ile de Re and now in st Jean de Luz on the way to Portugal.
The Cali hasn't missed a best and every day we are reminded, what an amazing vehicle.
Also, we had the 50a fuse on the leisure battery blow making our solar panel kaput. We replaced it and we've enjoyed a week of wild camping without hook up with ice cold wine and no issues.
