Engine warning light

My 2008 Cali has 24000 on the clock and I have not used it for 2 months. The battery was very low and she refused to turnover so I connected the battery charger. I could hear a click click noise from behind the dash when it was intially changing and after an overnight charge she is back to full form except that the yellow engine warning light is now lit up. Looking at the handbook it would appear to be an exhaust gas problem. Lambada probe fault? I have no what my lambrada does!

Has anyone else had the same thing happen or should I simply take it to my nearest VW Commercial centre (Enniskillen N. Ireland).

Are you sure it is the Exhaust Gas (DPF) light and not the Check Engine Light (CEL)?
