Depression in 6.1 Ocean

Well only when we move into the rear cabin…

Our 6.1 has a “soft spot” at the hard floor to front carpet interface-right at the joint area.
If we stand on that (which seems to be the natural foot fall area when leaving the front seats) the carpet deflects by about 20mm and the bead opens up.
Feels like there is a void under the carpet which will ultimately damage something.

We are trying to adopt a “do not step” policy, but hardly seems appropriate as occasionally we still hit the spot.

Is this a normal feature of the build?
Anyone else had this issue?

Normal. They all have that feature. Its where the wiring loom is located.

Normal. Walk on it just fine. The clips on the Awning are to stop rattling and you don't need headlamp deflectors in Europe .
