Yes, luxuries do come at a price

Anyone now how much as a matter of interest??

Goes from £250 to the£450 mark
The road tax is the same for all Cali's (£215) as they are deemed to be camper vans at birth and not a converted van.....they are in the PLG class for taxation ;)

Chris

Really? Parkers were saying they vary based on CO2 as other cars do but I don't own one do just going off that. Great news if they are all £215

we're picking up our new van this afternoon - we're about to spontaniously combust with excitement - and noted reference to "check list"? I this a standard document or something useful that someone has put togther? Anyone know where we can get a copy?

Phil & Sylv

Hi Phil & Sylv,

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am already enjoying ours.

The checklist can be found in the download section, link above.

I made the same mistake! DSG (which I didn't want anyway) plus the 4Motion (essential for us) tipped it to the top tax bracket on CO2 emissions BUT it turns out it's £215 whatever. So I was avoiding DSG even more (nothing against it, just not keen on dual clutch semi autos).

For a post a few above, pretty certain you CAN get a Berghaus with DSG!

No berghaus with DSG ...unless the very first had them ...

Thanks Stu - it worked a treat - although the dealer did blanch a bit when he saw it!!

And....

....how is the new Cali?!!

Got any pics??

What's the spec?

Pleased with it??

When I asked for the emergency roof securing straps the dealer looked at me like I was stupid. Ditto the nylon strap that supports the table from the rear headrest. They were all in there though. :thumb

where all the straps and stuff in a kit stored somewhere then stu ..???

The straps were in the cutlery tray Lee. As was the Euro power lead.

The awning handle in the pull out draw under the bench.

Same in ours too.

Yep - exactly the same experience - all in the cutlery tray - and dealer said " I wondered what they were for"!! Absolutely delighted with the van - Toffee Brown - much better than it sounds!!! Pretty regular spec for a pre-registered 180. Bike rack, parking sensors - cruise control to be retro-fitted (saw all the chat about this topic recently - being fitted by an auto-electrics specialist in Milton Keynes, appointed by the dealer). Just looks great. Off to France tomorow - so loads of reading of manuals to get through.

Is that RicheterSport?

If so they are actually owned by Wayside Audi. :thumb

Richeter - yes thats them Stu- mixed exprience of Wayside - but recently, sorting outa warranty issue on our Golf, they were good.

Sounds lovely! I think Toffee brown looks great on a Cali. Very classy. Get some pics up when you can!

We went pre-reg'd too - saved a lot of money.

Enjoy!!

the toffee is a nice colour on a window van i agree ,shame i think they have stopped it ...

But You can't beat a very classy ,but not to showy grey ;) :thumb
