bench seat stuck!

I've just reinstalled rear Bench seat in the Beach and it's stuck solid against the rear of drivers seat!
I have removed the pin to keep mechanism unlocked. This was a schoolboy error.
So, now I have a rear bench seat stuck in position..........Is my only option now to remove the drivers seat so I can lift the locking mechanism and hopefully slide the seat back??
This happened as we struggled to get set to slide back even when it appeared to be back in place.
We've removed seat several times previously without huge problems.
Any thoughts???.

You will need to remove the screw of the latch handle, then remove the plastic handle to reveal a smaller metal handle. This then give you more and will allow you to unlatch the seat to push it back.
