Android Auto + DAB + BT ....recommendations appreciated

Hi All,

Looking to upgrade our woeful Kenwood unit with a new 2018 model with Android auto, DAB and Bluetooth.

Any recommendations or pointers appreciated.

Is that a very old Kenwood Unit then?
VW have retrofit up to date Kenwoods don't they? and in previous cars going back some years I found Kenwood hard to beat so thats an opinion rather than a recommendation. Just curious.

I bought the Kenwood DMX7017DABS last summer for my work van.
It has everything you require, Google maps works a treat, Google Play less so.
If you buy it online through Halfords then by inputting your reg. no. it will tell you what additional leads and facia adaptors you need and they'll fit it for about £30

Wow thats surprisingly good price, I expected it to be much more.

How would you compare it with an RNS315 for example? Im guessing parking sensors dont work with this.

Whilst the DNX516DABS looks more OEM but is 2.5x the price

I'm not overly familiar with the 315 so couldn't really comment. It's a very nice unit though and dies look OEM once fiited.
My van doesn't have parking sensors so don't know if they work with it.
