First up it's the whole passenger airbag fail and replace - £300
Then at Camperjam the pump tap refused to play - it's the pump, another £200 today
ouch! expensive month ... bit fed up with the bus at the moment and keep thinking never had these silly very expensive issues with the Split and I could usually fix stuff ... then again it was a pig to drive long distances so there's always a trade off I guess:(

Sorry to hear that. Can possibly understand the Airbag replacement costing £300, but the Water Pump at £200? If it was VW at least you have a 2yr warranty on the new pump.

a replacement waterpump is only about 30-50€ if i recall .
Think it's even in the clubshop ?

The pump is an easy thing to replace 18€ for a new one.
I can´t wait for mine to go again :)
Did they replace the tap also for that price ?
They´ve shafted you there, but then again if it´s 100 quid an hour
20 mins diagnostics with a brew + 1 hours work + part.
It´s heading up towards 200.

yes well it was £59 today for just over an hour to test every component (I wanted to make sure it was not simple like a fuse) and the bill for actually then doing the work (later this week) is £39 for the pump,£18 for the tap, £3 for housing and ....£76.50 labour!!
And no I don't fancy doing the job myself, my lack of this kind of skill is family legend...
But at least it will be done before we go to Belgium next week...

Well I’m sure your ride down to SBN will more comfortably than mine

That's why I run a 'self-build' Dave. I know exactly where and how everything is fitted, if it is s 'pig' to change then I only have myself to blame. I deliberately fitted the water pump in a place where it was accessible and with screwdriver only tools needed to change it. That way I know:) I will never have problems with it.

Let's just hope they don't break something else while they get an apprentice to do it for the first time. We SO need some independent Cali specialists in the UK.

well the good thing about Listers in Coventry is they have a dedicated Cali technician and Cali servicing bay.He is very good. He has done any warranty and then post warranty work on out Cali since 2012

Looking fwd to meeting you next week Drooper, we are doing the Hull overnighter on Thursday

Thats a lucrative market for anyone willing to get there heads round this complicated little machine.

ah the yellow bus! We see you each time but I remember buses not people's names these days!
