“Moaning” rear brake

we used to have an early T6 ocean. In reverse a sort of “moaning” noise came from the rear near side wheel when moving. Not a squirm or screech really a moan type noise. I just put it down to one of those things. Now one of our newer Vans about a year old has the same problem, exactly. Anybody else had this, anybody know what it is?

we have a 2013 T5.1 and it also does the same, we have had the rear brake discs and pads changed, but it still does it, we reckon the brake is sticking on but VW say its ok...........

Two years ago I had a wee problem with noise coming from the front right wheel on our Tiguan.

I went several times back to the dealer, but no luck. So I went to a different dealer (where we actually then bought our van from).

They checked it and found out that the wheel bearing had to be changed . Of course it was after the warranty, so we had to pay for it. Obviously I was not happy to pay for this for a 3 1/2 year old Tiguan, but we came to some arrangements.

Never the less, the noise from that wheel was gone after the repair....

Has your dealer followed this line of investigation?
