Not sure it’s that old. Front radiator, high level rear brake light. 12 plate reg? Probably a Brazilian.

Front Radiator? that's a spare wheel carrier.
 
Well it looks old, although it definitely didn't have an air-cooled engine.

May not be genuine old school but definitely fit for the 21st century.
 
i think its a Danbury conversion of one of those mexican or brazilian imports with
a golf engine.
Engine sounded quit good when he drove off. Nice layout inside.

You can always spot the Brazilian water cooled imports by their slightly higher roof above the gutter and the radiator on the front (as visible in the video below), which can be hidden by an optional fake spare wheel. Pity they stopped making them.
