There are many CarParks with a 2 m or more Height Restriction. I’m happy to park in any car park with a 2m restriction. So what about a thread of Car Parks with a 2 / 2.1 m Restriction that YOU have parked in PERSONALLY in your California?

Millennium Square Car Park, Harbourside, Bristol. 2m - absolutely no problem on the 2 levels.

Mermaid Quay Car Park, Cardiff Bay. 2m - no problems.

Hyde Park Car Park, Off Park Lane, London. 2.08 m, OUTSIDE Conjestion Zone. No problems at all.

Marble Arch Car Park, Off Marble Arch, London. 2.08 m, OUTSIDE Conjestion Zone. No problems at all.

Same, I need to see a 2m clearance sign before I will go into a carpark. Providing the roof rack isn’t on ;)

It’s the only negative with having a California.

This is interesting - I measured the loan Cali we have (with awning) yesterday and it was 1.99m to the top of the awning at the rear. I thought with an awning they were over 2m?

I was specifically considering lowering ours to get it to be under 2m so it could go in car parks easier.

A standard Cali is never higher than 1,99m with or without the (original Thule ) awning
The awning is not the highest point , the middle of the roof is.

No, anywhere. Often members are asking about parking in many cities and other areas, so this could be useful when travelling.

Croatia Zagreb Parking Centar Cvjetni. 3.8m - no problems.

If we can try and keep it to 2 m or thereabouts. 3.8 m should be OK for everyone.

I wanted to keep it to 2 m and personal experience because there are many Car Parks with that restriction and a California with awning should fit.

Sorry you‘re right. I visited this parking in 2016 and just saw 3.8 however further on it was only about 2m.

I´ve just used the site search engine, i should have added the word Parking after frankfurt on my post
cos when i searched just frankfurt, loads of other threads came up.
I think it would be useful just to search the place name followed by parking and
then only one thread pops up.
Or am i talking crap.

Inverness Eastgate fine although some bays have a high level beam that sensors don’t pick up and this dented my spoiler beside brake light :( I’ll live with it ...

This is really useful info. Would a spreadsheet or database be better than thread posts, is that easier to do here ? Then could search by airports, cities, countries etc. Maybe make available to VIP members to recoup any admin/hosting costs.

Just a suggestion.

It would but I don’t think the Forum site can support that form. I stand to be corrected.

interested to see the Hyde Park one is high enough... often considered whether I could park the van there and spend the night after a big night out on the sauce. Anyone tried?
