Vehicle length with VW bike rack (closed)

I wonder if anyone can help me out. I would like to know the length of the California with the official VW bike rack mounted on it, closed (I.e. with no bikes on it). According to the brochure, the van length is 4892mm without a rack. My garage is 5280mm long. Will it fit??

I'm not sure of exact measurements but to me, as the bumper sticks out further than the door where the rack is mounted, the rack add 3-4 inches extra in total.

Cheers - good point about the bumper, hadn't thought of that. Looks like we'll probably be okay then...

Although no longer overall, i.e the bumper sticks out further in the middle, the sides of the bike rack stick out further than the edges of the bumper and if my reversing is not straight they will hit my garage door rather than the bumper. :doh
