VB air suspension is it noisey

It is reported that the VB suspension is always busy adding and removing air. I believe the latest installation has a reservoir tank. So how obtrusive is the compressor in normal use , when and how often is it heard. Im concerned it may annoy me especially as BMW and range rover are silent.

When driving you can’t hear it. When parked and the engine off the hissing and compressor kicking in as the vehicle is loaded or unloaded is very noticeable but I would not describe as loud. When parked and the engine is running you can can hear it but it is not really any louder than the engine running. Once at the camp site and auto leveled it does it make any more adjustments.

I only ever noticed it when parking up and getting out of the van. It's certainly noisy from the outside but when you're inside or driving you don't really notice it. It's great suspension.
