Just taken delivery of a 2010 Cali in black - been hankering after one for a while now having had a VW T25 (Colin the Campervan) for 14 years. Time to trade up to something more capable of motorway mile munching and getting us further afield. Sorry Colin!. First experience of driving the beast 205 miles back from Devon was awesome - first time I've been able to drive 200 odd miles in a single sitting without a) having to fill up b) wait for the buzzer of doom or some similar indicator of malfunction or c) get knackered through backache. So first impressions are: everything we expected it to be

So, gone, hit me with all your "camping interior hacks". We haven't yet transferred everything over from the old T25 so now is an ideal time to make sure we get it right. Superficially it feels like we have less "obvious" storage space than the T25 (which was an Autohomes Comet hit with 4 big overhead lockers). But I'm sure its just a case of finding the right combo of stacking boxes, pouches, pockets and stashing spaces. Trying not to be dazzled by the array of Brandrup (and other makers) widgets - so would ideally like to know which ones are worth bothering and which are not worth the often eye-watering price tag. Also any cunning Ikea based hacks gratefully received (already seen the one about the tray/chopping board in the top of the cutlery drawer - only concern about that was the faff-factor of moving it every time you want to get a teaspoon out

Looking forward to our first trip when we're allowed....

Thanks in advance

Congratulations Rich. Nice van. Agree, long drives are a pleasure and enjoyable. Enjoy the adventures.

IMO, only two things essential - a spare safe and a bellows bungee. Another essential thing (depending on where you park), may be a steering lock as a visual deterrent.

You are experienced campers so you will figure out as you use it on what you need. Rear pull out tray is a good investment.

Take care and drive safe.

A great experience beckons. Welcome and enjoy!
