Fixing Awning Question

Hi

We have just had a weekend away and used our Kyham Motordome Classic for the first time. Had a few problems fixing it to the van, should have had a practice but time & weather against us. I assume that the Kador strip and figure 8's need to be cut to the same length of the sun canopy? Ours stuck out at both ends of the canopy and apart from looking odd the canopy would not fully close. If I do cut them down to match the sun canopy length the fixing strip on the Kyham will be longer, is this a problem or do you just bend it down when you peg it? The biggest issue was the figure 8 / Kador interfering with the top of the sliding door both opening and closing, so much so we had to lift it out of the way every time. We also found the sliding door when fully open running into the awning side. Any advice would be a great

Yes you do need to cut the figure of eight to length.
This is another way to connect the awning, it raises it up so helps to clear the door. Also a lot easier to connect it on again if you drive away.
We have a Motorodome and it works well.

We had same problem with Kyham awning fouling sliding door , if it is not windy don't use the kador strip just put the figure of 8 strip on the awning and the other side on the top edge of the wind out awning after winding out slightly then back in that will cure problem and yes cut to same length as wind out awning
