What’s the price of fuel in your area?

Just driven 2000 miles up and around the Scottish Highlands/ West Coast, and in most places Diesel was cheaper than Petrol. Also, the community 24H pumps tended to be cheaper than the major oil company forecourts, or supermarkets. £1.58 for diesel in Morrisons Fort William, and £1.50 at an independent close by. Costco in Edinburgh was the cheapest at £1.42 (a week ago).

Government intervention at long last. If they find there was price rigging by the supermarkets, fine them 20p for every litre of overpriced diesel they sold. Then they won’t do it again.

Mfg group keep pulling our pants down round here, station not owned by them in Fort William. We can be 4 to 13p per litre more than the Oban Esso !
Today, Oban Esso £1.399, Fort William Esso £1.519 !!! Gulf at glen coe village is £1.38 I think so then more expensive towards Fort William going north.

Tesco had £1.399 for petrol and £1.449 for diesel today - a big reduction on last week's prices.

£1.40 at sainsburys Oxford

And Nottingham, 12 miles away

It wasn’t like that until petrol station owners bought Asda and Morrisons. Tesco and Sainsbury meanwhile are sitting back and enjoying the increased margins. ( in Mansfield at least ) Hopefully the CMA will get to the bottom of it and fuel prices will be down where they should be.
