T6.1 electrical question

I got the new van in Japan now, where we only use 110V as standard so I’ll have to buy an external transformer 110~24o but I’m not sure how many watts/amps I need ? Any ideas ? I’ve tried with a 1500w 110-240V but it didn’t charge....

Wouldn’t it be easier to swap the built in charger for a 110v one?

No i prefer not to touch any original parts, and to keep a small external converter isn’t a problem,

The charger is fused at 30A on the 12v side so it delivers no more than 360W

when you tried it with the inverter, did you carry out basic tests to see if there was power at the socket by the sink?
Also it is comon for the power cable to come loose from the charger.
Have you checked?

Yes, it was a "human" mistake, the breaker inside the rear cabinet , dooooh , Now I can charge BUT every time I lock the van when charging the car alarm goes off.........and I can't find any reason why it happens ?????
