Police: We have some good news and bad news for you.
Owner: What’s the good news?
Police: We have recovered your California.
Owner: That’s really excellent news. So what’s the bad news?
Police: It’s a write off.
Owner: !+&?!!;()/!!

I'm sure a Tracker would have helped - Not.

Just been reading a story by a journalist who had to recover his own Jaguar e-pace, the police knew where it was, but were too busy to do anything about it. When it was stolen, the tracker was disabled within three minutes of the theft.

Probably. It seems that most (all) stolen Calis are taken with the keys.

I wonder if rotating the drivers seat before locking would have been an adequate preventative measure in this case.
It would definitely slow them down and may give up if under time pressure.
But a pain to do this every time you use the van , especially as a daily driver

Having seen the rebirth of the kebab van shunted in another thread this one looks like it's just a couple of scratches to buff out by comparison.

I lost track of the two tone kebab write off thread. Did it sell? Did someone here buy it...

I've got an immobiliser with my tracker.

Works from my phone & can be activated when they have left the property.

Just realised that HC still has his lifetime VIP membership and he's
not using it. Seems a waste to me.
I wonder if it can be transferred :)

The American police have started using a 'grappler' system which wraps around the rear wheel ending the pursuit instantly and safely. Although I can't see it coming to the UK as our police seem to want the chase, and that would mean the end of most of the content on the monotonous police camera action shows.
