Premature arrival!

Expected mid-April, our new Cali arrived yesterday.



Pretty bog-standard White Van really, just needs some sign-writing & it would disappear in urban surroundings!
Come to think of it, we will need to be careful to remember where we leave it...

140hp & manual box.
Awning in silver.
Double glazing & privacy.
Front window in roof bellows (an extra here).
Opening window in sliding door.
Standard 16" steel wheels (bit less ugly than the ones I have seen before?).
M&S tyres (including spare).
I will be adding deflectors (VW ones) soon.

So far - so good!

Why did you go for a silver awning instead of black?

I had only seen black awnings on white Cali's & thought they looked very obtrusive.
Like black bumpers on an MGB...
I hoped the silver would blend in better & be less noticeable.
So far, I am happy with the result, in spite of the price difference!

Ok. I went the other way on my silver van and changed mine from silver to black

Just ploughing through the 500+ pages of manuals & supplements...

I see in the main T5 Manual (rough translation):
"WARNING: Don't kneel on heated seats, nor apply high local pressure, to avoid damage to the heating elements."

In the Cali Supplement it says:
"To climb into the upstairs bed, stand carefully on the seats."

Er... What kind of carefully is that then?
Big webbed feet??

Maybe, I have missed something here, but is this a new dash??... LHD only, or Something we only see on the SE/Caravelle's??

No - it's the Multivan/California Dash - it's also why the RHD don't have the front window blinds.
